Spring Flowers

Well, it has been almost a month since my last post because I haven't really known what exactly to say. I have been dealing with some problems that I wasn't sure about. I had a dream about my Mom you see. We were in her heaven, I believe, and she didn't know she was dead or that she ever had cancer. She just knew that something happened to her and Mema and she was suddenly there. I still think about that dream and wonder if that is what every ones heaven is like. Unique and tailored to their specific needs like in
The Lovely Bones
Today, on the first full day of Spring, I can only imagine what her heaven must look like. Bursting full of beautiful Cosmos, Daffodils, and Tulips. She would be taking pictures or sitting outside with her french vanilla coffee and a book with Thor snoring beside her. When I think of all the flowers that I want to plant up at Jim's house as soon as the snow is off the mountain, the only thing I care about are the cosmos. She always made sure to have those at every house she was at, but she didn't have a chance to have them there.
With Easter next weekend (where did the time go?), I am thinking about a story that my Aunt Anna told me a couple of months ago. My Aunt, very much like my mom was, is a very brave person in more ways than one. One of these ways comes with how she plants her flowers. My mom always wanted Easter flower pictures, so Auntie Anna would make sure to plant her flowers and have them ready by Easter no matter what. Now, whether or not they had some secret blood pack with these flowers, I will never know. But, I do know that when I see those flowers at Aunt Anna's house, especially the cosmos, I will always think of my mom and how happy she made her. Aunt Anna was always her favorite :).
